The Medical Director of Lasers in Medicine, Darren is a qualified Phlebologist with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of vein management. Darren has completed the Advanced Phlebology Fellowship with the Australasian College of Phlebology, and has been extensively trained by renowned Phlebologist Dr Anne Padbury. He is passionate about managing venous disease, particularly in helping improve the symptoms and cosmetics of leg veins.

Darren’s expertise extends to the whole range of venous disease, from spider veins to large varicose veins, and he performs minimally invasive venous procedures including microsclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and endovenous laser ablation. His dedication to this field has led to his election to the Australasian College of Phlebology board of censors in 2023.

Additionally, he is passionate about skin health, skin rejuvenation, prevention and maintenance. Darren has expertise in multiple laser devices, injectables and medical aesthetics.

Darren is a native of Adelaide and graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008. After completing his internship and medical residency at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, he went on to earn his fellowship in specialist General Practice through the Royal Australian College of GPs. He stays current in his field by regularly attending local and international conferences.

When not working, Darren is a former professional basketball player for the Adelaide 36ers, and he currently enjoys spending time with his family and watching his children begin their own sporting endeavours.
